Introduction To Underground Coal Gasification

Underground coal gasification (UCG) technology has opened the door to the next generation of power-generating technologies combining high-efficiency gasification technology with gas turbines to yield one of the cleanest coal technologies presently available. It also holds promise for significantly reducing CO2 emissions the high-efficiency UCG process and combined-cycle configuration means CO2 emissions are lower than most other coal-based power-generation technologies.
